DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Sun Conference announced Monday that junior catcher, Austin Goolsby of Embry-Riddle has been selected as the Conference Player of the Week after his performance against conference opponent Northwood, last weekend.
Goolsby hit .625 on the week, slugging for 2.000, with a .769 on-base percentage. He hit three home runs in the conference series against Northwood, two in the first game on Saturday. Gooslby is the 21st Eagle in program hist to hit two home runs in a game. On Friday evening, he was a double away from hitting for the cycle. Goolsby was intentionally walked three times on Saturday. On the week, he was 5-for-8 with eight RBI.
