Lake Wales native Nick Polston was named The Sun Conference Player of the Week, announced Monday by the league office.
The senior from Warner University led his team to a three-game sweep of conference opponent Edward Waters. Polston hit .636 on the week with a slugging average of .818. He was 7-for-11 from the plate, including two doubles and five total runs. He went 3-for-3 in the final game of the series, and scored three runs in the Royals' 8-3 victory.
