DAYTON BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle senior Eric Lorenzi was named The Sun Conference men’s basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 15. Lorenzi averaged 16.3 points, 7. 3 boards and two assists in three games on the road last week.
The Eagles’ first game of the week saw the Gainesville, Fla. forward tally 13 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 87-65 victory over Florida College. Three days later, Lorenzi totaled 18 points and nine rebounds in a 67-64 loss to Azusa Pacific, ranked 24th in NAIA I. The following day, Lorenzi put up another 18-point performance in a 59-55 loss to NAIA I No. 17 Biola. He was 6-of-7 from the charity stripe and collected six rebounds in that contest.
