DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Florida Memorial sophomore Sudanne Stewart was selected as the first Sun Conference women’s basketball Player of the Week for 2009-10, the league office announced on Monday. The Miami, Fla. native totaled 20 points for the guard spot in the Lions 80-78 overtime loss to NCAA I Bethune Cookman in Florida Memorial’s only game of the week. Stewart was 5-of-10 from the field, including a 4-for-5 night from the three-point line, and was 6-of-8 from the free throw line. She capped off the evening with four rebounds, five assists and a block.
