DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Sun Conference office has announced that Halston Schaffer of Webber International has been tabbed as the men's basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 23-29, 2009.
Schaffer, a 6-4 senior forward from Ocala, Fla., led the Warriors to a 2-1 week during thier trip to Texas averaging 22 ppg and 11.3 rpg.
In WIU's first game of the week Schaffer scored 22 points as well as pulling down 13 rebounds and blocking two shots as the Warriors beat Our Lady of the Lake 99-88.
Schaffer continued his week with a 22 point, 11 rebound, one block and one steal performance in a 71-68 loss to Texas A&M International.
Schaffer ended his consistent week with 22 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and four steals in a 85-68 win over Concordia (Texas).
