DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – For the second time in the 2009-10 season, Florida Memorial senior Kenyetta Davis was tabbed as The Sun Conference women’s basketball Player of the Week. Davis led the Lions to a 2-0 record in league play, averaging 15 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
Davis played all 40 minutes in Florida Memorial’s 74-65 victory over Webber International. She was 8-of-17 from the field and finished the game with 17 points, eight rebounds and two assists.
Against Edward Waters, Davis shot 4-of-10 from the field, including a 3-for-6 clip from beyond the arc, and was 2-for-4 from the charity stripe. She totaled 13 points and five rebounds as the Lions downed the Tigers 88-65.
