DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Sun Conference has announced that Embry-Riddle's Austin Quinn has been selected as the Pitcher of the Week for games played Feb. 15-21, 2010.
Quinn, a right-hander from Titusville, Fla., was near perfect in the Eagles' 9-0 win over Sun Conference member USCB. The senior pitched the complete game shutout, scattering just four hits while striking out eight batters and surrendering no walks.
Quinn improved his record to a perfect 3-0 on the season while his ERA dipped to 0.81. He has given up just 13 hits and allowed just two runs all season.
