DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Embry-Riddle's Justin Zinkovich has been tabbed as The Sun Conference Pitcher of the Week for games played Apr. 12-18, 2010.
The senior was brilliant in Friday's 7-1 win over St. Thomas. He pitched the entire nine-inning game, allowing just one unearned run on two hits while striking out 11 Bobcat batters. It marked the second game he recorded a double digit strikeout total. His two-hitter was the lowest opponent hit total the Eagles have given up all season. Zinkovich improved his overall record to 7-2 and has struck out 71 batters in 67.1 innings pitched.
