DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - For the second consecutive week Warner's Andrea Owens has been selected as The Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Week. Owens was chosen for her performance during the week of Sept. 27 - Oct. 3, 2010.
Owens, a freshman goalkeeper from Gibsonton, Fla., didn't allow a goal against Johnson and Wales on Friday, and kept the high-powered Northwood offense to just one goal in Sunday's close 1-0 defeat to the Seahawks. Owens made five saves in 90 minutes of action for the Royals.
