DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Matilda Ojaniemi of Northwood has been selected as The Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in as many weeks. The Seahawks went 2-0 in their two conference games during the week.
Ojaniemi made seven saves in her two contests, including a shutout of SCAD Savannah on Friday afternoon. The freshman from Kalmar, Sweden played in all 180 minutes over the weekend for the NAIA No. 25 Seahawks.
