DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Sun Conference has announced that George Thacker of South Carolina Beaufort is the Men’s Golfer of the Month for events played during the months of Oct and Nov.
Thacker, a senior, led the Sand Sharks to two team victories in Oct. and Nov. The first came at the Wilmington Island Club Invitational where Thacker shot a one-under par 212 (72-70-70) and finished second out of 75 competitors.
The Derbyshire, England native also finished second overall and shot a six-under par 210 (72-67-71) at the Southeastern Fire Invitational on Nov. 2.
USC Beaufort won four of the five tournaments they played in this fall and Golfstat currently ranks them as the top NAIA team in the country.
