Babson Park, Fla. – Vince Anderson, of Webber International University, becomes the first Warrior signed by an NFL team.

The New York Giants have agreed to contract terms with former Webber International University corner back, Vince Anderson. The Giants had Anderson in for a pre-season draft visit and had shown interest in the defensive back for several weeks. Many other NFL teams had visited the WIU campus to watch Anderson work out.

Anderson, at 6’2 and 205 pounds, played corner back and safety during his three year career with the Warriors. He graduated from Columbia High School-South in Lake City, Florida. Anderson was born in Gainesville, Florida, and is the son of Taffie Underwood.

Webber International’s graduation ceremonies are this Saturday, and Vince Anderson will be receiving his diploma at the 82nd commencement exercises. He completed his B.S. degree in December, in General Business.

“We are all very proud of Vince and the opportunity he has through his dedication and hard work,” stated WIU Athletic Director Bill Heath. “He has achieved the number one goal of all, completing his requirement for his B.S. degree,” stated WIU Football Coach, Kelly Scott. “We are proud of his accomplishment and dedication and we hope Vince will be successful with the opportunity he has earned in the NFL,” stated Scott.
