WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The #2 Northwood University Men’s Basketball Team (24-2, 13-0 TSC) put on an offensive showcase Wednesday night, beating Ave Maria (12-14, 3-10 TSC) 106-67.
Patrick Horstmann returned to mid-season form on both offense and defense. Horstmann would lead all scorers with 29 points and also collect 20 boards. He fell just short of the NU all-time record by 2 rebounds.
Five time The Sun Conference Player of the Week Jonathan Dunn had 19. Noah Keeton’s deep threat continued as he scored 15 points, all from 3-point shots. Seniors Melvin Calhoun and JT Tryon had 12 and 10 points respectively.
For the Gyrenes, Dylan Fugate had 21 points in the loss.
Northwood will celebrate senior day this Saturday, February 12 as they take on Warner University. That game is set for 7:00 PM.
