SCAD Savannah Captures Women’s Tennis Conference Title

SAVANNAH, Ga. - The SCAD Savannah Lady Bees closed out the regular season with their eighth consecutive win on Saturday, defeating Southeastern, 8-1.  The victory gave SCAD The Sun Conference regular season title and brought SCAD’s overall record to 10-2 and its Sun Conference record to a perfect 7-0. 
 
Maria Barragan and Andrea Gonzalez each posted 6-0, 6-0 wins in singles play, while Daniella Arcila was the only player to go to a third-set tiebreak. Arcila was victorius in the tiebreak, 10-5, winning at No. 3 singles.

The Lady Bees will be the No. 1 seed in The Sun Conference Tournament that will be held in Daytona Beach, Fla. on the campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. The tournament is set to begin on Friday, Apr. 19, with the champion being crowned on Sunday, Apr. 21.
