Top-Ranked Keiser Wins Third-Straight Title in Wild Finish

LAKLEAND, Fla.—For Keiser to win its third-straight Sun Conference title, it was going to need to hold off a strong charge from the field.
The Seahawks were dominant in the final round, matching the best score of the week, posted by Keiser on Sunday at 300, to clear runner-up SCAD-Savannah by six strokes.
Elsa Westin paced KU in the final round, matching the low individual round of the tournament by teammate Caroline Retabi at 71. Retabi took home medalist honors, clearing Westin and USCB’s Blanca Porta by seven shots. The senior finished the tournament with a round of 73 for a total of 218 for 54 holes.
Paulina Camacho and Maria Paula Otero had the Bees looking to claim the top spot, each finishing the day with 74s. Camacho was 2-under through 13, and Otero -3 through 10. Camacho finished fourth overall.
Mariona Maeso came home with a top-five finish, shooting 75 for a second straight day.
The Sand Sharks of USCB moved into third with a team score of 307, besting host Southeastern by nine in the final round, and by eight overall. Porta had the low round on the roster at 72, and Franzi Knoetsch finished tied for fifth, closing the tournament with a 76.
Rebecca Bostrom had the best day for the Fire, shooting 76 to finish in a tie for seventh.
