Sun Conference Releases 2020 Women’s Soccer All-Conference Teams

MIAMI, Fla. (November 17, 2020) – The 2020 All-Sun Conference Women’s Soccer Teams were announced on Tuesday as voted on by the league’s seven head coaches. This year’s teams feature 11 first-team selections, 11 second-team honorees, and 11 honorable mention picks. 
 
Overall, six different schools placed at least one player among the group of 33 that make up the first- and second-team all-conference, honorable mention units. This year’s teams are comprised of one graduate student, eight seniors, eight juniors, nine sophomores, and seven freshmen.
 
Keiser led all teams with nine all-conference honorees, including first-team selections Alicia Drott, Kyoka Koshijma, Emma Holmskov, Nohara Takayama, Maja Henriksson, and Josefine Troneby. Southeastern had four all-conference honorees led by first-teamers Aisha Solorzano, Naira Lopez, Sierra Clayton, and Holly Eddins. Emily Dalton from Ave Maria rounded out this year’s first team.
 
The Sun Conference Specialty Awards for Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, Coach of the Year, and Champion of Character will be announced Thursday.
 
The semifinals of the 2020 Sun Conference Women’s Soccer Championship will take place later today. Semifinal number one, featuring the No. 2-seeded Keiser Seahawks hosting the Ave Maria Gyrenes, will begin at 4:00 p.m. from West Palm Beach, Florida. Semifinal number two, featuring the top-seeded Southeastern Fire hosting the USCB Sand Sharks is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m. from Lakeland, Florida.
