MIAMI, Fla. (Sept. 15, 2020) – The Crooked Lake Rivalry highlights this week’s volleyball slate as Webber International (2-1, 0-1 TSC) travels to the Turner Athletic Center to take on Warner (0-0, 0-0 TSC) in the Sun Conference Volleyball Game of the Week. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
 
The Warriors picked up two wins in non-conference action this past weekend, sweeping both Trinity Baptist and Trinity (Fla.) on Saturday, September 12. WIU comes into this week’s Game of the Week averaging 10.1 kills per set. The Warriors are led by freshman middle hitter Nora Burgos-Heredia, who is averaging 2.22 kills per set with a .581 hitting percentage.
 
Wednesday will mark the season opener for the Royals. Warner is coming off a 2019 season averaging 10.8 kills per set with a team hitting percentage of .143. Redshirt senior Aurora Alderman comes into 2020 looking to build off a 2018 campaign where she compiled 207 digs with a dig-per-set average of 2.52. A defensive specialist, Alderman recorded up a season- and Warner-career-high 31 digs against Rochester (Mich.) (8/25) during the 2018 year.
 
In 2019, WU swept the season series, 2-0.
