2021 All-Sun Conference Women’s Flag Football Teams Announced

MIAMI, Fla. (April 15, 2021) – The 2021 All-Sun Conference Women’s Flag Football Teams were announced on Thursday as voted on by the league’s five head coaches. This year’s teams feature seven offensive selections and seven defensive honorees. 

On the offensive side of the ball, Webber International produced three selections (Kayla Burrows, RayGene Garner, and Sierra Harris) followed by Keiser (Kennedy Foster and Jazmin Rhoden) and St. Thomas (Tyler Bryant and Jada Graham) with two apiece.
 
Defensively, WIU posted three selections (Burrows, Garner, and Breaza Robinson) while the Seahawks claimed two honorees (Shatayvia Riche and Adrianna Rodriguez). The Bobcats rounded out the selections with two of their own (Kayla Alvarez and Dejonice Parris).

Also announced on Thursday were this year’s Sun Conference All-Academic Team members. Webber International’s Garner and Dayne Ford were recognized for their accomplishments in the classroom. To be eligible for all-academic honors, a student-athlete must be enrolled at their current institution for two full semesters and must have a cumulative of at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 GPA scale.
 
The Sun Conference Specialty Awards for Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, and Champion of Character will be announced on Friday.
 
The 2021 Sun Conference Women’s Flag Football Championship will take place on Saturday, April 17, from Monsignor Edward Pace High School. This year’s championship tournament will begin with a semifinal matchup between Webber International (No. 2 seed – 6-2 TSC) and St. Thomas (No. 3 – 4-4 TSC) at 12:00 p.m. Regular-Season Champion Keiser (No. 1 seed – 8-0 TSC) will await the winner of the WIU-STU semifinal to play for the 2021 crown (2:00 p.m.).
