Sun Conference Announces Three New Women’s Flag Football Affiliate Members

TAMPA, Fla. – The Sun Conference announces the addition of three new affiliate members in women’s flag football. Life University, Point University, and Reinhardt University will join the SUN and compete in the conference in the upcoming 2024 season.

“Flag Football is one of the fastest growing sports in the country and particularly at the NAIA and collegiate level,” Sun Conference Commissioner Dustin Wilke stated. “Bringing in three outstanding new members in Life, Point, and Reinhardt allows us to continue to establish The Sun Conference as the premier collegiate Flag Football conference at any level.”

All three universities are located in Georgia, in addition to current affiliate member Thomas University. The four, along with Florida Memorial, Keiser, St. Thomas, Warner, and Webber International, will make up the 9-team conference for the upcoming 2024 spring season.

Keiser took home the first SUN Flag Football titles back in 2021. The last two years’ Championships have belonged to the Night Hawks of Thomas. In the 2023 season, Thomas went 9-1 in SUN play to claim the regular season and went on to win the SUN Tournament over St. Thomas (26-19).
