TAMPA, Fla. – SCAD Savannah has been voted to repeat as Sun Conference Women’s Lacrosse Regular Season Champions as voted on by the head coaches in the 2025 Preseason Coaches’ Poll.
As the new season approaches, SCAD Savannah leads the way in the preseason poll, securing 49 points along with seven first-place votes after an impressive performance last season. The Bees finished the 2024 season 13-6 and went undefeated in conference play. They also secured the SUN Tournament Title before falling just short in the NAIA Semifinals.
Following SCAD Savannah, Keiser takes the second spot with 41 points. The 2024 SUN Tournament Runners-Up, who also secured a spot in last year's 8-team National Championship Tournament, finished last season with a record of 11-8 and went 4-2 in the league.
Ave Maria holds third place with 35 points and secured the remaining first-place vote. The Gyrenes are looking to make a push for the title after tying for second in last season's regular season.
Life University finds itself in fourth place with 32 points, with a 2024 overall record of 11-5 and SUN record of 4-2. St. Thomas is picked fifth with 25 points as they look to climb into the top four.
Webber International is next in line at sixth with 22 points while Warner is chosen for the seventh spot with 13 points. New College of Florida rounds out the poll with 9 points as the Mighty Banyans make their debut into The Sun Conference.
Conference play begins Saturday, March 1 with the conference tournament to begin Tuesday, April 15. Scores for all games can be found on The Sun Scoreboard and stayed tuned into SUN live action all season long on The Sun Digital Network.
