2026 Sun Conference Women's Lacrosse Players to Watch

TAMPA, Fla. – Listed below are the Sun Conference Women's Lacrosse Players to Watch for the 2026 season as submitted by each institution.

The season commenced on Saturday, February 7th with the first conference game on Saturday, March 28th. The Sun Conference Tournament will start on Thursday, April 30 and conclude Saturday, May 2.

Alexandra Mazurczak

Junior | Wauwatosa, Wisc. | Midfield/Attack

Notes: The Gyrenes top two leading scorers in program history, Hannah Shaffrey and Abigail Seiler, graduated last year leaving some big shoes behind to fill. Stepping up to the challenge is a young core led by junior Alexandra Mazurczak. She had the third most points last season behind Shaffrey and Seiler with 39. For her career, Mazurczak has 58 goals, 18 assists and 76 points, putting her eighth or tied for eighth all-time in Ave Maria history.

Kate Griffin

Sophomore | West Palm Beach, Fla. | Midfield

Notes: After a solid 2025 campaign, Kate Griffin returns to lead the Seahawks in the midfield in 2026. She contributed 14 goals and nine assists on the offensive end while making her mark in the midfield, finishing fourth on the team with 34 draw controls. Griffin also contributed 18 groundballs and seven caused turnovers from her role.

Lilly Phillips

Senior | Johns Creek, Ga. | Defense

Notes: Lilly transferred to Life U as as sophomore goalie where she split time with Ashley Hammel. Last year heading into the conference tournament, Life University had Lilly step out into the field as a low defender where Lilly secured 16 caused turnovers in the tournament and a spot on the All-Tournament team.

Amanda Pickens

Senior | Topsham, Maine | Goalkeeper

Notes: Last season, Pickens started eight games, including six at goaltender and two in the field, recording three ground balls and four caused turnovers in the field while making 71 saves on 175 shots faced in net, highlighted by an eight-save performance to earn the win in NCF’s first victory in program history at Truett McConnell.

Sophomore | Worthington, Ohio | Defense
 

Notes: Mollie enters her sophomore campaign playing relentless defense and serving as a true ball hawk, batting down passes and creating interceptions. We are really excited about what she brings to our defensive unit as we look to kick off the 2026 season.

Notes: The reigning Sun Conference Freshman of the Year returns for her sophomore campaign after leading the league with 25 goals and ranking third in total points with 33.

E'Mya Miller

Senior | Lake Wales, Fla. | Midfield

Notes: A Lake Wales native and transfer from St. Thomas University, Miller brings experience, composure, and leadership to the Royals’ midfield. Known for her ability to control tempo, win possession battles, and distribute efficiently in transition, Miller’s veteran presence will be key in anchoring Warner’s attack and defensive shape throughout conference play. Her familiarity with SUN Conference competition and high motor make her a difference-maker heading into the 2026 campaign.
