TAMPA, Fla. – The Sun Conference announces the players of the week for baseball, men's and women's basketball, esports, men's and women's indoor track & field, women's lacrosse, and softball for the week of February 9, 2026.

Men's Basketball Players of the Week
Defensive Player of the Week
Cameron Baldwin, Keiser
Junior | Acworth, Ga. | Forward
Notes: Cameron Baldwin averaged 8.5 rebounds per game, including 6.5 on the defensive glass. Baldwin was disruptive around the rim, totaling eight rejections over the two-game stretch. His activity extended to the passing lanes as well, averaging 2.0 steals per game while battling inside against physical lineups. On Saturday, Baldwin and the Keiser defense held the Fire to their lowest point total this season.
Offensive Player of the Week
Michael Klekas, Ave Maria
Senior | Elko, Nev. | Guard
Notes: Mike Klekas scored a career-high 36 points Wednesday against Coastal Georgia and became just the second ever Gyrenes to score 1600 points in a career. Klekas knocked down 15 field goals in the game, three of those from behind the arc, which also ties the program record for baskets in a game. He is now 48 points away from breaking the career points record, a mark that has stood since 2013.

Notes: Patterson totaled 11 steals, 2 blocks, and 11 defensive rebounds in 2 Webber wins.

Gabby Beauperthuy, Ave Maria
Senior | Colorado Springs, Colo. | Forward
Notes: Gabby Beauperthuy recorded her 7th double-double of the season Thursday against Coastal Georgia with 27 points and 19 rebounds. Both stats were career highs at Ave Maria for Beauperthuy as she led the Gyrenes against Mariners.

Men's Track Athlete of the Week
Kenzie Knowles, St. Thomas
Sophomore
Notes: Brought home the gold in the Men's 600 Meters behind an "A standard" time while being part of the Men's Distance Relay that ran the fastest time of any Sun Conference group in the field.
Men's Field Athlete of the Week
Casey Wood, Keiser
Junior | Punta Gorda, Fla.
Notes: Casey Wood turned in a dominant weekend in the field events, setting a new Keiser school record in the shot put with a throw of 16.27 meters to earn a second-place finish at the Visit Gainesville Indoor Classic. His mark also met the NAIA B standard, reinforcing his position among the top throwers in the conference. Wood additionally competed in the weight throw, anchoring the Seahawks’ throws group with another strong overall performance.

Notes: Part of the 4x400 Relay that ran the fastest time by any NAIA team in the field behind an "A Standard" time of 3:50.67, adding a "B Standard" effort int he 60 Meters.

Notes: Caitlyn O'Brien had another great meet, winning the long jump and making the NAIA A and B cuts and placing second in the high jump.

Notes: Powered the Bobcats to a 3-1 series win against Brewton-Parker, recording a hit in every outing while blasting a pair of home runs and recording 10 RBI.
Pitcher of the Week
Blake Sandvik, Southeastern
Junior | Seattle, Wash. | Right-handed Pitcher
Notes: Sandvik rolled in the game one, 9-0 of blanking of No. 12 Oklahoma Wesleyan. Striking out seven in seven innings, and only giving up three hits. He finished with a perfect ERA and a 9.00 k/9.

Senior | Pinellas Park, Fla. | Shortstop
Notes: Senior middle infielder, Alisha Wagoner and the Lady Royals are off to a phenomenal start to the 2026 campaign. A 4-0 start makes this the best program start since 2021. Wagoner was a instrumental part of it all going 6-14 at the plate on the week while recording a grand slam in the season opener in extras. At the plate, Wagoner recorded 4 runs, 8 rbis, a double, and a triple. In the field, Wagoner went a perfect 1.000 fld% with 8 assists, 8 putouts, 16 total catches, and 1 double play.
Pitcher of the Week
Maria Zelenka, Southeastern
Junior | Miami, Fla.
Notes: The returning NAIA All-American only needed three innings to remind everyone why she was one. Only needed three innings of work, striking out eight of nine batters, and boasting a perfect ERA and a 18.67 k/9. Rolling the Bryan Lions in the back half of the double header 14-1.

Olivia Torline, SCAD Savannah
Junior | Overland Park, Kan. | Defender
Notes: Torline led the defense with a game-high three caused turnovers, picking up a team-high (tied) two ground balls in the process as SCAD won 16-14 over No. 6 Reinhardt on Saturday.
Offensive Player of the Week
McKinsey Brown, SCAD Savannah
Junior | Centreville, Md. | Attacker/Midfielder
Notes: Brown had a great first game of the season, scoring eight goals to lead the Bees to a 16-14 victory over No. 6 Reinhardt. The junior attack took 12 shots, all of which were on goal for a SOG% of 100.0.

Notes: Caleb had a combined K/D of 61/5 against SCAD this week. Having the best KD of the evening guaranteeing our first SUN conference win this season against SCAD.
Super Smash Brothers Ultimate Player of the Week

Junior | West Palm Beach, Fla.
Notes: His debut this season he took a total of 14 stock and lost only 1 in the match against Warner University. Securing the Seahawks' first win of the season with a 2 - 0 victory.
Rocket League Player of the Week

Junior | Lauderhill, Fla.
Notes: Rese scored a total of five goals against NCF. He also had three assists and a total of nine shots taken with six saves. His RL score game 1 was 449, game two was 1026 and game 3 it was 335.
