TAMPA, Fla. – The Sun Conference announces the players of the week for baseball, beach volleyball, women's flag football, men's and women's golf, women's lacrosse, men's and women's outdoor track & field, men's and women's tennis, and softball for the week of March 16, 2026.

Baseball Players of the Week
Player of the Week
Armani Cozza, Southeastern
Freshman | Lakeland, Fla. | Outfielder
Notes: Armani Cozza lit up opposing pitchers this week. Despite a minor set back in game two with Warner, Cozza went 11/18 on the week, hitting .611 with a 1.222 slugging percentage, and a .682 on base percentage. He drove in 14 runs, scored 12 himself, and cranked two home runs, both in the same game. Walking four times, and stealing a base. He converted on all twelve of his putout opportunites, turning one into a put out at second from centerfield. Two games standout from his week, in the 16-2 win over Cornerstone, he got on base in all six at-bats, walking twice, knocking four hits, scoring five runs and driving in two. In game three with Warner, he flipped the tables with a grand slam, and added a two run blast later in the game, finishing the game slugging 2.000.

Notes: Kyle Keyes delivered a dominant performance on Saturday, throwing 8.0 shutout innings in an 8–0 win over (rv) Webber International. He allowed just 5 hits, issued 1 walk, and did not allow a run, finishing with a 0.00 ERA and 0.75 WHIP for the outing.
Softball Players of the Week
Player of the Week
Raylei McKinney, Southeastern
Junior | Brandon, Miss. | Outfielder
Notes: Raylei McKinney led the Fire lineup in a series where runs came from everywhere. Batting .556 on the week with a 1.111 slugging percentage and a .600 on base percentage. She turned five hits in nine at bats, driving home four runs, and scoring four times herself. Additionally, she walked once, and stole two bases. Dominant pitching, and a strong infield limited defensive opportunities, but she converted on her only chance. In the 3-1 game three win, she cranked a two run homer in the top of the fifth to ice the game.
Pitcher of the Week
Maria Zelenka, Southeastern
Junior | Miami, Fla. | Pitcher
Notes: Another 2-0 week for Fia Zelenka. Despite not notching her normally outstanding numbers in game one, she made up for it in game three of the series. Striking out 14 batters in game three, and 18 on the week. She allowed only one run, setting her season ERA to 0.29. She finshed the week with a 12.60 k/7, and a 0.70 ERA.

Kate Griffin, Keiser
Sophomore | West Palm Beach, Fla. | Midfielder
Notes: Griffin helped lead the Seahawks to a 2-0 week with wins over No. 10 Lawrence Tech and Division III Calvin University. She was dominant in the draw circle, recording 19 draw controls across the two games, highlighted by a program record-tying 13 draw controls against Calvin. In addition to controlling possession, she contributed across the field with three ground balls and four caused turnovers while helping anchor the defense. She also made an impact offensively, totaling four points on two goals and two assists during the week while placing six of her seven shots on goal.

MacKenzie Gibaud, Keiser
Senior | Rochester, N.Y. | Attacker
Notes: Gibaud led the Seahawks’ offense during a 2-0 week, helping Keiser earn wins over No. 10 Lawrence Tech and Division III Calvin University. The attacker totaled 10 points on nine goals and one assist across the two contests while consistently pressuring opposing defenses. Gibaud opened the week with a dominant performance against Lawrence Tech, scoring five goals and adding an assist for six points, while placing all five of her shots on goal. She followed that performance with four goals in a one-goal victory over Calvin. For the week, Gibaud finished with 11 shots and 10 shots on goal, posting an 81.8 shooting percentage and 90.9 shots-on-goal percentage, while also contributing three ground balls and five caused turnovers.

Christopher Richards Jr., Webber International
Freshman | Diego Martin, Trinidad and Tobago
Notes: Richards Jr. secured his second straight collegiate victory, carding a 2-under 69 in the first round before back-to-back 5-under 66s to finish in 1st place, one spot and two strokes ahead of his teammate. Richards Jr.'s efforts also helped the Warriors take home the team title.
Women's Golfer of the Week
Luz Maria Ardila, Keiser
Senior | Bogota, Colombia
Notes: Luz Maria Ardilla led Keiser to its fifth win of the year, placing tied for third at the Kona Ice Keiser Kup last week. She shot a 10-over, 226, for her fourth top-5 finish of her career. During the tournament, she shot 2-under on Par 3s. Ardila registered 23 par putts and carded a tournament-best 11 birdies She currently ranks No. 21 in the nation (clippd).

Ana Vincensini, Warner
Senior | Panama | Wide Receiver/Linebacker
Notes: Warner University defender Ana Vincensini delivered a dominant defensive performance on an astounding 263-6 week, recording 23 flag pulls and four interceptions, including one interception returned for a touchdown (pick-six). Vincensini consistently disrupted opposing offenses with her ability to read the quarterback and make plays on the ball, while her 23 flag pulls highlighted her impact in open-field stops. Her playmaking ability and defensive leadership were key in helping anchor the Royals’ defense throughout the week.
Offensive Player of the Week
Avalon Lux-Offerman, Warner
Freshman | Littleton, Colo. | Wide Receiver/Lineback
Notes: Warner University receiver Avalon Lux-Offermann delivered a dominant week for the Royals’ offense, totaling 40 receptions for 414 yards and nine touchdowns. Offermann consistently created separation and proved to be a reliable target in the passing game, averaging more than 100 receiving yards per contest while producing multiple explosive scoring plays. Her ability to extend drives and finish possessions in the end zone made her a key catalyst in Warner’s offensive success throughout the week who finished 263-6 including a record-breaking 90-0 shutout win. *Disclaimer* A couple lateral scoring plays are included in the td total, but not Offerman's td's.

Men's Tennis Player of the Week
Didrik Liljekvist, Keiser
Senior | Stockholm, Sweden
Notes: Liljekvist was once again solid for the Seahawks on court one in doubles and singles. On Wednesday, he did what nobody has been able to do all season, defeating Division III No. 1 Ruilin Feng, handing the ITA Cup winner his first loss. In doubles, he improved to 6-0 with a dominant win alongside his partner.
Women's Tennis Player of the Week

Senior | Sydney, Australia
Notes: Another week, another set of wins for the number one player in the country. Apisah led the Seahawks to a pair of Division II wins including a ranked win in singles over D-II, No. 29 Malak Arafat. Apisah is 16-0 dating back to the Fall while in doubles her and her sister Patricia improved to 16-1 this season with a pair of wins.

Notes: The Cassidy Casey and Oliva Fenstermaker tandem continued its perfect start to the season by winning all three of its matches in straight sets in Mobile as the No. 6 ranked Mighty Banyans improved to 7-0 on the year. The Mighty Banyans No. 1 duo has yet to lose a set this season.

Notes: Dario Laing notched two NAIA 'B' Standards in SEU's first outdoor event of the year. Topping the 110m Hurdles, and coming in second in the 400m Hurdles.
Men's Field Athlete of the Week
Casey Wood, Keiser
Junior | Punta Gorda
Notes: Casey Wood delivered another strong performance in the throws for the Seahawks, earning second place in the shot put with a mark of 16.70m, which met the NAIA National B Standard. Wood also recorded a third-place finish in the hammer throw and added a top-six finish in discus, leading Keiser’s throwers with multiple top performances.

Junior | Gardiner, Maine
Notes: Ashlyn Poulin popped a new school record by almost two minutes, beating her own mark. Winning her event by over five minutes, and with it being a combined heat, she also beat all the men. Hitting a new NAIA No. 1 time, and beating the 'A' Standard time by almost four minutes. Coincidentally, she also notched the NAIA 'A' Standard on the men's side.
Women's Field Athlete of the Week
Caitlyn O'Brien, Ave Maria
Senior | Pewaukee, Wisc.
Notes: Caitlyn O'Brien had a great start to the outdoor season, winning the long jump and placing third in the javelin throw. Both were career-bests for O'Brien. The Long jump was especially impressive as it was the first time O'Brien has ever cracked 6 meters, passing her previous long of 5.93, which won the indoor national championship in 2025.
