TAMPA, Fla. – The Sun Conference announces the players of the week for baseball, beach volleyball, women's flag football, men's and women's golf, esports, women's lacrosse, men's and women's tennis, and softball for the week of March 2, 2026.

Baseball Players of the Week

Austen Jaslove, Webber International

Notes: Jaslove went 4-4 in the Warriors 15-5 victory over Morningside, he finished the weekend going 7/12 with a Homer and 5 RBIs.
Pitcher of the Week
Wade Francis, Florida Memorial
Freshman | Pembroke Pines, Fla. | Left-Handed Pitcher
Notes: Francis opened the series against FNU as the starting pitcher and delivered with flying colors. He played all nine innings and allowed only three hits and struck out 11 batters. It marked his second win of the season. In 19 innings, he has allowed only 13 hits and has 26 strikeouts, which puts him second in the conference, only one behind 1st.
Softball Players of the Week
Player of the Week
Ella Brooks, Southeastern
Senior | Knoxville, Tenn. | Outfielder
Notes: In a week where everyone was scoring, Ella Brooks was a standout. Batting .600, collecting six hits on 10 at bats, driving home seven runs and scoring seven herself while stealing four bases. Her on base percentage was .636, and she slugged .800. Her most notable outing of the week came in game three, where she was 4-4 with four stolen bases, four runs scored, and four RBIs. Her defensive efforts were limited due to dominant pitching but she put away her lone chance at a putout.

Notes: Despite not getting her usual strike out total in her second outing of the week. Fia SHUT DOWN the Gyrenes, tossing a complete game no-hitter in on Thursday, a one hitter on Friday, collecting two more wins. Striking out 13 total (10 on Thursday), and dropping her season ERA to 0.16. She maintained a perfect ERA throughout the two blowouts, and produced a 10.11 k/7 with a .33 whip in nine innings pitched.

Haley Chapman, Ave Maria

Notes: Haley Chapman dominated the midfield in Ave Maria's win over St. Thomas, recording 12 draw controls. It is tied for the second-most draw controls in a game in program history and helped limit offensive production from the Bobcats. Chapman also caused three turnovers.
Offensive Player of the Week
Isabelle Vrensen, Keiser
Sophomore | Waikato, New Zealand | Attacker
Notes: Vrensen turned in a dominant offensive performance in Keiser’s 21-4 victory over (rv)Ottawa. She led the Seahawks with a game-high seven points on six goals and one assist. Vrensen was efficient as well, placing six of her seven attempts on goal.

Women's Golfer of the Week
Sophia Sindersberger, Keiser
Sophomore | Zurich, Switzerland
Notes: In a field comprised of 16 teams that included 12 NCAA Division I programs, sophomore Sophia Sindersberger led the No. 1-ranked Seahawks to a third-place finish at the Babs Steffens Invitational hosted by Stetson University. She recorded the third top-10 finish of her Keiser career, placing seventh. The only golfer ahead of her on the leaderboard were from NCAA Division I programs. She recorded a team-best 38 par putts and tallied five birdies. On the year, Sindersberger has registered an adjusted scoring average of 72.5 and is ranked No. 4 in the NAIA (clippd).

Notes: The Royals defense is making a statement early! Going 161-0 on the week, Jessica Finley played a huge part in the team's success. Finley grabbed 4 interceptions for 72 yards total while recording a 47 yard pick six against Saint Leo and 3 interceptions for 25 total yards against Brewton Parker.
Offensive Player of the Week

Junior | Woodstock, Ga. | Quarterback
Notes: Hutchinson = goated, need I say more? Hutchinson helped facilitate a 161-0 week of wins for the Royals throwing for a total of 728 yards and 17 total passing TDS, while also taking matters into her own hands to record a rushing TD. Averaging 14 yards/throw and 364 passing yards per game with an 88.5% completion rate, Hutchinson and the Royals continue to rewrite history and its only the beginning!
Tennis Players of the Week
Men's Tennis Player of the Week
Didrik Liljekvist, Keiser
Senior | Stockholm, Sweden
Notes: Liljekvist was dominant at the No. 1 position in both singles and doubles, leading Keiser to two victories, including a 5-0 sweep of No. 23 St. Thomas. Competing at the top singles flight, Liljekvist earned one of the most significant individual wins in the NAIA this season. He defeated No. 17 Mariano Hasenkopf of St. Thomas in straight sets, 7-6(5), 6-2. Hasenkopf entered the match holding the highest UTR in all of NAIA men’s tennis. In doubles action, Liljekvist partnered with Matthew Dubas at the No. 1 position and went a perfect 2-0 on the week. The pair opened with a dominant 6-0 win over Palm Beach Atlantic and followed with a 6-3 win against St. Thomas. Liljekvist has yet to be bested in singles or doubles this season.
Women's Tennis Player of the Week
Violet Apisah, Keiser
Senior | Sydney, Australia
Notes: Apisah delivered a flawless week at the No. 1 position in both singles and doubles, leading Keiser to a perfect 3-0 record against NCAA Division II and nationally ranked competition. Competing at the top singles flight, Apisah went 2-0, highlighted by a dominant 6-0, 6-0 victory over Leticia Orlandov of No. 15 St. Thomas. That win marked her 100th career singles victory, making her just the second player in Keiser program history to reach the milestone and the first women’s player to accomplish the feat. She followed that historic performance with an impressive straight-set win (6-3, 6-3) over Division II No. 25 Eryka Kruk of No. 10 Flagler. In doubles action, Apisah partnered with Patricia Apisah at the No. 1 position and posted a perfect 3-0 record. Over the course of the week, Apisah surrendered just seven total games in singles competition and has Keiser off to their best start in program history.

Sophomore | Wentzille, Mo.
Notes: Elle Malczewski and Greta Heiney swept the doubleheader for the Gyrenes, winning both flights in two sets. In the doubleheader finale against Mobile, the match was tied at two points apiece and came down to the third flight to decide the winner. Malczewski and Heiney came back down 19-18 and scored the last three points to clinch the match for the Gyrenes.

Notes: GaMatthew has proven again this week why he is the captain for our team. He beat 3 opponents before he lost in game 1 and led the team in stocks taken in game 2. He is versatile in Palutena and Kirby and his technical ability with combos and his overall game knowledge has kept us strong all season, and helped the Bobcats to a 2-0 conference win over Southeastern.
