TAMPA, Fla. – The Sun Conference announces the players of the week for baseball, beach volleyball, women's flag football, men's and women's golf, women's lacrosse, men's and women's outdoor track & field, men's and women's tennis, and softball for the week of March 30, 2026.

Baseball Players of the Week
Player of the Week
Mike Cuello, Webber International
Senior | Brownsburg, Idaho | Outfielder
Notes: Cuello was one of the many Warriors who had a good week against Ave Maria pitching. In a series where Webber scored 59 runs, Cuello led the way with 11 RBIs. In the historic 18-run third inning in game 2, Cuello lifted one of two grand slams the Warriors hit in the inning. He added another homer in game 3, and had an RBI in all 4 games, while going 7-12 at the plate, adding four walks and two stolen bases.
Pitcher of the Week
Corbin Gilmore, New College of Florida
Sophomore | Arcadia, Fla. | Right-Handed Pitcher
Notes: Gilmore was crucial in helping NCF secure a series split with No. 22 Keiser. He earned the save in Game 2 of the series tossing a scoreless inning of relief while striking the go-ahead run out to end the game. He then earned the win in a run-rule shortened Game 4 by tossing 4.2 innings in which he did not allow an earned run and struck out two Seahawks.

Raylei McKinney, Southeastern
Junior | Brandon, Miss. | Outfielder
Notes: Raylei McKinney is a weapon of mass destruction. Accounting for many of the Fire runs in the series win over No. 11 St. Thomas. Batting .545 with an on base percentage of .583, and slugging an astounding 1.364. She homered in every game, and game one she added two hits to her home run. Game two was much more fun, and she knocked two hits, stealing a base off of one hit, and the other being a monster Grand Slam in the third to help aid the run rule. In game three, her first at bat was an opposite field two-run homer to account for her eighth RBI of the series. Being an outfielder, and thanks to strong pitching, opportunites were limited, but she converted on both chances.

Mackenzie Masternak, Keiser

Notes: Mackenzie Masternak was virtually unhittable over the course of the week, going 3-0 with a 0.00 ERA across three starts and 16.0 innings pitched. She held opponents to just eight hits while striking out ten and issuing only one walk, completing two of her three starts and posting two shutouts in the process. Masternak's combination of workload, dominance, and consistency made her the clear choice on the mound for Keiser this week.

Notes: Helped lead the Running Eagles’ defense in goal, recording 12 saves and earning the win in a 17–7 conference victory over Warner.

Notes: Roxie Beasley recorded seven goals and one assist, along with three ground balls, in a conference win over Warner.

Antonio Juarbe, Coastal Georgia

Notes: Antonio Juarbe earned medalist honors at the BMCU Spring Invite, finishing first out of 88 golfers with a three-round score of 211 (-5). He opened with a 72 before posting rounds of 70 and 69 to secure the individual title.
Women's Golfer of the Week
Elise Forberg, Coastal Georgia
Senior | Cumming, Ga.
Notes: Elise Forberg placed fourth out of 60 golfers at the BMCU Spring Invite, finishing with a three-round score of 219 (+15). She opened with a 72 and followed with rounds of 73 and 76 to lead her team to a fourth-place finish.

Defensive Player of the Week
Dakota Moberg, Keiser
Sophomore | Port Saint Lucie, Fla. | Wide Receiver/Linebacker
Notes: Sophomore Dakota Moberg continued to be a defensive force for the Seahawks, leading Keiser in flag pulls and interceptions in a 71-0 shutout victory over Florida Memorial on Saturday. The shutout victory was the second of the season for the Seahawks, who have now blanked the Lions in five straight games. She recorded a team-high eight flag pulls versus the Lions, marking the eighth game this season in which Moberg has produced five or more flag pulls in a game. She also picked off three passes, including one for a score (28-yard return in the third). Moberg and the Keiser defense held the Lions to just 3.2 yards per play. On the year, Moberg has registered 76 total flag pulls (No. 4 in the NAIA) with six interceptions (two for TDs), three flag pulls for loss and one sack.
Offensive Player of the Week
Kathryn Hutchinson, Warner
Junior | Woodstock, Ga. | Quarterback
Notes: Kathryn Hutchinson led the Royals to a dominant week, guiding the team to four wins, including a 3–0 mark in SUN Conference play and a statement 89–7 victory over NCAA Division I Alabama State Hornets. Hutchinson completed 70.1% of her passes (124-of-177) for an impressive 1,420 passing yards and 29 touchdowns on the week. She also contributed a receiving PAT in the win over Alabama State, highlighting her versatility. In addition to her weekly performance, Hutchinson reached a historic milestone, becoming the first flag football player to record 100+ passing touchdowns in a single season, currently sitting at 120 and counting (as of March 28).

Shaheed Alam, Keiser
Senior | Singapore
Notes: Alam turned in a strong and consistent week for Keiser, helping lead the Seahawks to three key victories against ranked opponents while competing near the top of the lineup. Alam went 3-0 in singles play, and in doubles action, Alam partnered with Heber Santos and contributed with a 6-0 win against SCAD. Alam is now up to 8-1 in the spring in singles play.
Women's Tennis Player of the Week
Violet Apisah, Keiser
Senior | Sydney, Australia
Notes: Apisah delivered a dominant and historic week at the top of the lineup, leading Keiser to three impressive ranked victories while competing at No. 1 singles and doubles. She went a perfect 3-0 in singles, all in straight sets. Apisah also posted a 3-0 record in doubles alongside Patricia Apisah, helping Keiser secure sweeps in all three matches. In addition to her on-court success, she achieved two major career milestones this week, surpassing the all-time singles wins record in Keiser history and eclipsing 200 career victories.

Notes: Jesse Songo turned in one of the most impressive performances of the weekend at the NSU Shark Invitational, sweeping both distance events to claim a pair of first-place finishes. Songo opened with a victory in the 800m (1:54.68) before returning to shatter the Keiser University school record in the 1,500m with a winning time of 3:54.88 — a new personal best that underscores his continued growth as one of the program's elite distance runners.

Notes: Arthur Dupuy was the standout field performer for the Seahawks at the NSU Shark Invitational, claiming first place in the javelin with a throw of 56.71m while also finishing fifth in the long jump (6.22m). His javelin victory headlined a dominant 1-2 Keiser finish in the event alongside Claudio Pugnetti, and his contributions across multiple disciplines made him one of the most impactful athletes at the meet.

Notes: Caitlyn O'Brien had another fantastic meet at the Nova Southeastern Shark Invitational, winning both the high jump and the long jump and placing second in the shot put and javelin. Her distance of 37.03 in the javelin was a career-high for the senior.
