Amanda Workman is entering her 18th season with SCAD and her sixth season as the Director of Golf.  

She led the women’s program to its 15th consecutive NAIA national championship berth during the 2017-2018 season.  Last year, the SCAD women's golf team finished the season ranked #1 in the NAIA after winning the 2018 NAIA National Championship while Workman was honored as the NAIA National Coach of the Year.  The women's golf team had five NAIA All-Americans, five All-Conference selections and both the national championship and conference championship individual medalist.  The women’s program also boasted three WGCA All-American Scholar athletes, two NAIA Academic All-Americans and four Academic All-Conference athletes.  In 17-18 the men’s program had three golfers named Academic All-American, two GCAA All-American Scholars and five Academic All-Conference athletes.  They were also awarded the GCAA 18Birdies Team Academic Award. 
 
During the 2016-2017 season, the men's team was named the NAIA Academic National Champions Award by the Golf Coaches Association of America, their third of this honor in program history.  The men’s team also had two Academic All-Americans.  The women’s team was compiled of five NAIA All-Americans, two Academic All-Americans, three All-Conference selections and the conference Newcomer of the Year.

During the 2015-16 season, the women's golf team finished the season ranked third after finishing tied for second at the NAIA National Championships. It was the Bees' third-straight National Runner-Up title. The women's golf team had three All-Americans, four All-Conference selections and had two golfers named to the NAIA All-Tournament Team. Both the men's and women's programs also had two golfers garner Academic All-American honors.
 
Throughout Workman’s tenure, the women's program has totaled 30 NAIA All-Americans, 20 NAIA All-America Scholar Athletes, 36 All-Conference golfers and 17 NAIA National Championship All-Tournament Team golfers. The team has also been named an NAIA All-Scholar Team for nine consecutive years. 

The men's golf team tallies five NAIA National Championship appearances, is a three-time GCAA Academic National Champion, boasts 16 NAIA  All-Americans, 25 NAIA Academic All-Scholar Golfers, 11 All-Sun Conference golfers and 17 GCAA All-America Scholar Athletes.

Prior to SCAD, Workman played NCAA Division I golf at TCU in Fort Worth, Texas.  Workman was named to the Academic All-Conference team during each of her four years at TCU and garnered the university highest academically ranked female athlete award.  She was named Outstanding Freshman Athlete, voted most valuable player during her junior year and served as team captain her senior year. 
 
While with the Horned Frogs at Texas Christian University (TCU), the team was ranked in the top 10 during three of Workman’s four years and won the 1997 Western Athletic Conference Championship.
 
Workman has a B.S. in Speech Communications from TCU and a M.F.A. in Performing Arts from SCAD.
