Sun Conference Women’s Basketball Game of the Week: St. Thomas at Webber International

MIAMI, Fla. (Dec. 2, 2020) – This week’s Sun Conference Women’s Basketball Game of the Week features the St. Thomas Bobcats (3-0, 1-0 TSC) at the Webber International Warriors (5-0, 2-0 TSC) on Thursday, December 3. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m.
 
The Bobcats come into Thursday game riding a three-game winning streak to start the season, including an 83-78 win at Florida Memorial on November 14. STU is averaging 73.0 points per game on 40.6 percent shooting from the floor. The Bobcats are led by Anari Dozier who guided STU to the conference-opening win over the Lions, scoring 32 points on 9-of-16 shooting.
 
The Warriors enter this week’s Game of the Week with a perfect 5-0 mark, including a pair of Sun Conference wins. WIU defeated Thomas, 78-49, in its last outing (November 19). The Warriors are averaging 76.2 points per game on 41.8 percent shooting from the floor. WIU is led by Paris Copeland, who is averaging 18.4 points per game, shooting 44.0 percent from the field.
 
In the last four meetings, the series is tied at 2-2 with each team taking at least one game on the opposition’s court.
