MIAMI, Fla. (April 28, 2022) – The 2022 All-Sun Conference Women’s Flag Football Teams were announced on Thursday as voted on by the league’s six head coaches. This year’s teams feature seven offensive selections and seven defensive honorees.
On the offensive side of the ball, Keiser (
Kennedy Foster and
Jazmin Rhoden) and Warner (
Cynthia Homs and
Madison Tingen) produced two selections each followed by and St. Thomas (
Tyler Bryant), Thomas (
Brittany Delva), and Webber International (
Kayla Burrows) with one apiece.
Defensively, WIU (Burrows and
Breaza Robinson) and TU (Delva and
Janae Scott) posted two selections while the Seahawks (Maria Vega), Royals (Homs), and the Bobcats (
Tashumba Washington) claimed one honoree each.
The Sun Conference Specialty Awards for Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, and Champion of Character will be announced on Friday.
The 2022 Sun Conference Women’s Flag Football Championship will take place on Saturday, April 30, from Thomasville, Georgia. This year’s championship tournament will begin with a semifinal matchup between Thomas (No. 1 seed – 9-1 SUN) and Warner (No. 4 – 5-5 SUN) at 10:30 a.m. followed by Keiser (No. 2 seed – 8-2 SUN) versus St. Thomas (No. 3 seed – 6-4 SUN) at 12:30 p.m. The championship will take place later that day at 3:30 p.m.
