SCAD Men’s Cross Country Win Sun Conference Championship

LAKELAND, Fla. – The SCAD men’s cross country team punched their ticket to the 2024 NAIA National Championship with a decisive win at the Sun Conference Championship on Saturday.
 
TEAM RESULTS: The Bees won the championship with 35 points, while Ave Maria University finished second with 51 points.
 
MAJOR AWARDS: At the conclusion of the race, the SUN Major Awards were announced, and Head Coach Andy Knapp was named Coach of the Year.
 
FIRST-TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE: The top seven finishers earn First-Team All-Conference honors. SCAD totaled three honorees. Ethan Davis finished as the runner-up with a time of 26:06.6. Max Heins finished in third with a time of 26:28.5, while Donovan Slattery placed fourth with a time of 26:29.8.
 
SECOND TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE: Runners placing eighth through 14 earn Second-Team All-Conference honors, and SCAD’s Tom Schroeder finished in 10th with a time of 27:12.6.
