TAMPA, Fla. – The Sun Conference announces the Player of the Week honorees for the week of January 6, 2025.
All four awards are based on performances from December 30 - January 5.
Men's Basketball Players of the Week
Defensive Player of the Week
Vincent Miszkiewicz, Keiser | Sr. - Forward - South Elgin, Ill.
Against the defending NAIA National Champions, No. 3 Freed-Hardemann, Miszkiewicz was double-teamed all day and still managed to grab 15 rebounds. He followed it up with a new career-high on Saturday, recording 23 rebounds and tying his own program record for defensive rebounds in the game with 19. Additionally, he recorded four blocks on Saturday, the third time this season he has reached that mark. Miszkiewicz is now up to No. 2 in the NAIA in rebounds per game at 13.0 per contest and 5th in blocks with 30 this season.
Offensive Player of the Week
Tyreon Payne, Keiser | Jr. - Guard - Baton Rouge, La.
Averaging 21 points per game this week, Payne was the most consistent offensive threat for Keiser. On Saturday, Payne closed out his week with a monstrous game against New College of Florida. His second-half alone was enough for most players as he had 26 points on 10-of-10 shooting from the field in the final 20 minutes of the game. The 29 points scored were also a season-high for guard from Baton Rouge.

Mya Herman, Southeastern | So. - Guard - Canandaigua, N.Y.
Herman, next to dominating defensively, drove opposing offenses into fits with her defensive prowess. The guard extended her NAIA fourth-best total steals to 63, with four steals in the 77-73 win over Brewton Parker on New Years Eve. In 82-50 win over Webber in The Furnace, the sophomore added a season high eight steals improving to 3.9 steals per game. Additionally she nabbed six rebounds.
Offensive Player of the Week
Colleen Shanahan, Ave Maria | Sr. - Forward - Orlando, Fla.
Colleen Shanahan recorded three double-doubles this week. Her first was against Michigan Dearborn where Shanahan scored 28 points and hauled in 10 rebounds. Twenty-eight points is not only a career high for Shanahan, it is the eighth most points scored in a game in AMU history. Shanahan also hit 13 shots, which is tied for the second-most in program history. In the next two games, Shanahan hit 14 points and 17 rebounds against Mobile and 13 points and 11 rebounds against FMU. Shanahan now has 5 double-doubles this season and 15 on her career. Shanahan hit 76.7% of her shots this week is second in the country in FG%.
