TAMPA, Fla. - The 2024-25 All-Sun Conference Men's Basketball Teams were announced on Wednesday afternoon as voted on by the league’s nine head coaches.
Keiser, the Regular Season Champion, saw its two leading scorers and repeat honorees, Miszkiewicz and Sirmans, secure places on the First Team, while Payne was named to the Second Team. Ave Maria led the field with a total of five honorees. The Gyrenes claimed three First Team spots (Filchner, Klekas, and Watkins), and both Effertz and Monchecourt, repeat honorees, landed on the Second Team.
Florida Memorial’s Latavious Mitchell, a repeat First Team honoree, led a group that included Second Team members Mohamad Diallo, Terrin Hamilton, and Calvin Payton.
New College of Florida and Southeastern each had significant representations. New College’s Charlie Yoder earned a First Team position, while Jordan Clark secured a Second Team spot in their debut season in The Sun. Southeastern’s Ahmad Johnson was named to the First Team, and Joshua Blazquez to the Second Team.
St. Thomas's Daniel Ogoro earned All-Conference honors for the first time in his career, marking the Bobcats’ only selection this season. Webber International and Warner each had one player represented on the First Team, with WIU’s Thomas and WU’s Darling Jr., respectively.
Coastal Georgia rounded out the selections with McArthur named to the Second Team.
Seven representatives are repeat winners from last year (Blaize Darling Jr., Michael Klekas, Vincent Miszkiewicz, Latavious Mitchell, Calvin Sirmans, Jonathan Effertz, and Miles Monchecourt).
The 2024-25 Sun Conference Men's Basketball Tournament Championship resumes on Friday, February 28th with two semifinal matchups. Fourth-seeded Southeastern will take on top-seeded Keiser on their home floor at 5:00 p.m. while third-seeded Florida Memorial will face No. 2 Ave Maria at 7:00 p.m. The Championship Game will take place in West Palm Beach at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1st.
