TAMPA, Fla. – The Sun Conference announces the players of the week for men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, football, men's and women's golf, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's swimming & diving, and volleyball for the week of October 27, 2025.

Defensive Player of the Week
Milton Smith, Warner
Sophomore | Atlanta, Ga. | Linebacker
Notes: The Royals have activated the 'W' column! A dominating performance from the Royals earned them their first win of the 2025 season, and 1st SUN Conference win over Ave Maria. Sophomore Line backer, Milton Smith, was instrumental in igniting the Royals with a forced fumble, fumble recovery and a scoop and score to top it all of to put the Royals on the board first.
 
 
Offensive Player of the Week
Tedric Wilcox, Florida Memorial
Freshman | Atlanta, Ga. | Quarterback
Notes: Wilcox was the engine for a historic night for FMU. He completed 17 of 29 passes for 259 yards and a school record EIGHT touchdowns. His excellence on the field led the Lions to the most points they scored in a game in program history. He even added six carries for 29 yards on the ground.
 
 
Special Teams Player of the Week
Sean Egloff, Florida Memorial
Freshman | Kicker
Notes: Egloff was the definition of accurate this week, as he went 11 for 11 in PATs for the Lions against Thomas this week (85-7 win).

Junior | Lima, Ohio | Outside Hitter
Notes: Cece Worsham delivered a dominant offensive performance in Keiser?s 3?1 victory over Southeastern. Worsham recorded a season-high 23 kills, averaging an impressive 5.75 kills per set, while hitting .225 on 71 total attacks. She also contributed 20 digs for a double-double.
 
 
Defender of the Week
Tayla Barnes, St. Thomas
Senior | Mableton, Ga. | Middle Blocker
Notes: Boasted seven blocks (four solo, three assisted), averaging 2.33 per set in the Bobcats 3-0 victory over New College of Florida. She also contributed nine kills, hitting .294.
 
 
Setter of the Week
Mallory Dills, Keiser
Sophomore | Indianapolis, Ind. | Setter
Notes: Dills dished out a season-high 60 assists, averaging an impressive 15.00 assists per set, while guiding the offense to one of its most balanced and efficient outings of the season handing Southeastern just their third loss of the season.

Notes: Leveque recorded a clean sheet in a 6-0 victory over Florida Memorial on his Senior Day. It was his sixth clean sheet of the season.
 
 
Offensive Player of the Week
Alejandro Molina-Casas, Keiser
Freshman | Medellin, Columbia | Midfielder
Notes: Freshman Alejandro Molina put together an impressive offensive performance this past week, leading the Seahawks to back-to-back conference wins. The freshman forward totaled three goals across two matches, averaging 1.5 goals per game. Molina opened the week with a goal in Keiser?s 4-0 win over Warner before following it up with a two-goal performance in the 5-0 victory against Webber International.

Saga Bryntesson, SCAD Savannah
Sophomore | Arvika, Sweden | Goalkeeper
Notes: Saga Bryntesson had a strong showing in goal for the Bees this week as SCAD went 1-0-1 in SUN action. In the 0-0 tie against St. Thomas, the Sophomore totaled a season-high eight saves, followed by one in the Bees' 4-0 win over Florida Memorial to pick up her ninth and tenth shutouts of the season. This season, Bryntesson has 49 saves and only 13 goals against and currently leads the conference in shutouts.
 
 
Offensive Player of the Week
Lauren Riley, Keiser
Senior | Staffordshire, Spain | Forward
Notes: Lauren Riley continues to perform at the highest level, leading Keiser to a pair of wins in conference play. On Wednesday she tallied her second hat trick of the season and added an assist against Warner. She followed it up with the game-winner against Webber before tacking on an assist on the insurance goal. Riley now leads the conference in scoring and has scored 10 goals in her last six games while adding three assists in that same span.

David Giles, Ave Maria
Freshman | Reading, Pa.
Notes: David Giles broke the Ave Maria school record at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge, becoming the first Gyrene to finish an 8k in under 25 minutes. Giles beat the record one year and a day to the 2024 NAIA Great Lakes challenge where three Gyrenes became the first runners in AMU history to finish under 26 minutes. Now the record stands almost 30 seconds faster than it did a year ago.
 
 
Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Talia Sullivan, SCAD Savannah
Graduate Student | Lustleigh, Devon, England
Notes: Sullivan placed fifth in the field of 187 as SCAD's top finisher in the NAIA Appalachian Challenge on Friday. The graduate student led the No. 14 Bees to a third-place finish, just behind No. 2 Milligan and No. 3 University of the Cumberlands.

Antonio Juarbe, Coastal Georgia
Junior | Jesup, Ga.
Notes: Antonio Juarbe led the way for Coastal Georgia with a dominant showing at the Bojangles Invitational, earning medalist honors for the second time this fall. Juarbe shot rounds of 72 and 66 to finish six under par, ranking first among all individual players. His consistent play and strong finish helped pace the Mariners to a sixth-place team result. Head Coach Mike Cook praised Juarbe?s effort, noting that he played outstanding and continues to set the standard for the team?s success this season.
 
 
 
Women's Golfer of the Week
Yunyi Luo, SCAD Savannah
Sophomore | Shenzen, GuangDong, China
Notes: Luo led her team to a third-place finish at the Lady Roadrunner Fall Invite hosted by Dalton State this week. The sophomore shot a three-round score of 223 to finish as the Runner-Up, earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

Men's Swim Athlete of the Week
Noel De Geus, Keiser
Senior | Hildesheim, Germany
Notes: Noel De Geus grabbed a pair of individual wins and was on the 200 Medley Relay team that took gold at the dual against Division I FAU. He currently holds the fastest time in the 100 Breast, second fastest time in the 200 Breast, and sixth fastest time in the 50 Free.
 
 
Women's Swim Athlete of the Week
Luiza Bersi, Keiser
Sophomore | Sao Paolo, Brazil
Notes: Luiza Bersi showed out in the dual against Division I Florida Atlantic. In the 100 Fly, she broke an NAIA record that has stood for eight years, setting a new best, 53.63. Bersi now owns the top time in the NAIA in the 100 Fly and 200 Fly. She also ranks in the top five for the 50 Free, 100 Free, and 400 IM.

Notes: Senior forward Ellis Graham made his presence felt on the defensive end in Coastal Georgia?s season-opening win, providing toughness and rim protection throughout the afternoon. Graham tallied five blocked shots and six rebounds, setting the tone for the Mariners? interior defense. His length and timing disrupted Thomas? offensive rhythm, forcing the Night Hawks to settle for difficult shots in the paint. Beyond his defensive dominance, Graham also contributed two points, one assist, and one steal, playing a pivotal role in limiting second-chance opportunities. His energy and defensive awareness were vital in helping the Mariners pull away in the second half and secure an 84?65 victory.
 
 
Offensive Player of the Week
Jack Watkins, Ave Maria
Senior | Decatur, Texas | Guard
Notes: Ave Maria's team MVP Jack Watkins is back and led the Gyrenes in scoring in the first two games of the season. Watkins totaled 40 points, recording 17 against CIU and 23 against Morris. All 14 of his field goals were inside the arc, being a weapon from midrange, and he went 70% at the free throw line.

Notes: Boasted five steals in the Bobcats' 2025-26 season opener against the Virgin Islands. STU held UVI to a .216 shooting percentage and forced 28 turnovers.

Freshman | Los Angeles, Calif. | Guard
Notes: Scored 17 points in her STU debut on 6-9 shooting, 5-7 from beyond the arc (71.3%), while adding three steals and one assist in 19 minutes on the court.
