TAMPA, Fla. — Nine Sun Conference teams have qualified for NAIA National Championship events across football, men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, and men’s and women’s cross country, earning their spots through Sun Conference Tournament automatic berths or at-large selections.
Three Sun Conference teams earned spots in the 20-team field for the 2025 NAIA Football Championship Series. Keiser, the SUN’s Regular Season Champion, secured the championship’s No. 2 overall seed and will be idle this weekend with a first-round bye. The Seahawks will await this weekend’s results to determine their opponent for Saturday, November 29. Southeastern and St. Thomas open postseason play on Saturday, November 22.
SEU earned the No. 15 seed and will host No. 19 Reinhardt (Ga.). This will be the third meeting between the Fire and the Eagles in the past two years; Southeastern last defeated RU on September 13, 2025, by a score of 41–20. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Victory Field in Lakeland, Fla.
STU, the No. 17 seed, will travel to face No. 14 Carroll in Helena, Montana, in the first round. This marks the Saints’ first playoff appearance since 2014, with both teams entering this year’s series as at-large selections.

Sun Conference Regular Season and Tournament Champion
Keiser will begin its road to a national championship on Saturday, November 22. The Seahawks have hosted the First and Second Rounds in West Palm Beach after earning the tournament’s No. 4 overall seed. Following Thursday’s opening-round matchup between Dalton State (Ga.) and Warner Pacific (Ore.), KU will face Warner Pacific with a spot in the Round of 16 and a trip to the Final Site in Orange Beach, Ala. on the line.

Sun Conference Regular Season and Tournament Champion Southeastern will host the second round of the NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship in Lakeland, Fla., serving as the league’s automatic qualifier and the tournament’s No. 11 seed. The Fire will welcome Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) on Saturday, November 22.
Keiser, which earned an at-large berth into the field (No. 14 seed), will also be at home for the first two rounds in West Palm Beach. The Seahawks are set to face Georgia Gwinnett on the Keiser Multi-Purpose Field as they look to advance. For both SUN squads, a place in the Round of 16 and a trip to Pensacola, Fla. is on the line.

St. Thomas, the league’s Regular Season and Tournament Champion, will host an NAIA Opening Round match for the third straight year. The Bobcats earned the national tournament’s No. 16 seed and will welcome Loyola (La.) on Saturday, November 22. The teams meet for the third time in series history, having last played on August 30, 2025. St. Thomas aims to advance to the NAIA Final Site in Sioux City, Iowa, where the 24-team field will compete in pool play for a spot in the eight-team championship bracket.

Sun Conference Champion
SCAD Savannah represented the league as its team qualifier in Tallahassee, Fla. The race began at 8:30 a.m. on November 21 at Apalachee Regional Park. The Bees finished 21st as a team, led by the league’s top performer, Talia Sullivan. Sullivan placed 11th overall with a time of 21:37.9, earning All-America honors (top 40).

Sun Conference Champion
Ave Maria served as the league’s team qualifier. The men’s race followed the women’s event, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The Gyrenes finished 30th as a team, led by their top individual, David Jiles, who placed 106th with a time of 25:59.6. The Sun Conference’s top overall finisher was SCAD’s Tim Schroeder, who placed 99th in 25:57.9.
