TAMPA, Fla. — Keiser will open the 2025 season as the preseason favorite in Sun Conference Football, earning 45 points and five first-place votes in the poll of league head coaches.
Three teams secured first-place votes, setting up another competitive battle for the 2025 title. The Seahawks edged St. Thomas for the top spot, with the Bobcats right behind at 44 points and two first-place nods. Southeastern follows in third with 40 points and the final first-place vote.
Keiser enters the fall following three straight appearances in the NAIA National Championship game, capturing the red banner in 2023 and entering last year’s title game with an undefeated record. St. Thomas has advanced to the NAIA Football Championship Series in each of the last two seasons, reaching the Second Round both times. Southeastern narrowly missed the postseason in 2024 and looks to make its return to the national stage this fall.
Florida Memorial is slotted fourth with 31 points, followed by Webber in fifth (23) and Ave Maria in sixth (21). Thomas and Warner are tied for seventh with 10 points apiece.
League play is set to begin on Saturday, October 4, with the Sun Conference title chase running through November.
