TAMPA, Fla. – The Sun Conference announces the players of the week for volleyball, men's soccer, and women's soccer for the week of August 25, 2025. These are the first men's and women's soccer awards of the 2025 season.

All seven awards are based on performances from August 18 – August 24.
Volleyball Players of the Week
Attacker of the Week
Laura Bonomi, Southeastern
Senior | Ceto, Italy | Outside Hitter
Notes: Bonomi was an offensive nightmare for the opposition at the Palm Beach Juniors Round Robin. Helping aid the Fire to a 3-1 record, racking up 58 kills on 163 for a .252 kill percentage. Additionally, she secured seven service aces with only two errors. She helped fuel the offense with an additional 47 digs, 59 receptions with no reception errors, and four assists. In the 3-1 upset win over RV Grace College (Ind.), she recorded 19 kills with 23 digs. And in the 3-1, hard fought loss to the University of Mobile, she notched another 18 kills with 11 more for a fourth double-double in six games.
Defender of the Week

Notes: Anchored the Bobcats' defense against four nationally ranked programs behind 79 digs over 16 sets... averaged over five digs in three matches with a 6.00 per-set rate in the final match of the weekend.
Setter of the Week
Payton Bertke, St. Thomas
Junior | Celina, Ohio | Setter
Notes: Ended the four-match weekend with every contest against nationally ranked foes with a 10.31 assist per set rate... recorded double-doubles against No. 19 Missouri Baptist (46 assists, 10 digs) and No. 20 Midland (45 assists, 10 digs).

Defensive Player of the Week
Adam Cooil, Southeastern
Senior | Castletown, Isle of Man, England | Defender
Notes: Cooil was the anchor of the Fire defense, holding the Spartanburg Methodist offense to just one shot on goal and seven shots in total. The Fire blanked the Pioneers 5-0. Additionally, Cooil also notched a goal of his own.
Offensive Player of the Week
Mohamed Sadiki, Florida Memorial
Junior | Casablanca, Morocco | Striker
Notes: Sadiki finished with two goals in his debut with FMU, lifting the Lions to a 3-2 victory over Webber after trailing 2-0 in the first half.

Freshman | Sarasota, Fla. | Goalkeeper
Notes: Magnotti started her freshman year with back-to-back clean sheets against Brenau and Abraham Baldwin. She made nine saves across both games playing all 180 minutes and securing two wins.
Offensive Player of the Week
Sarah Irurozki, Southeastern
Senior | Donosti, Spain | Forward
Notes: Sarah Irurzoki made her presence known this week against the visiting Thomas University Night Hawks. An explosion of offense, totaling five points across two goals and an assist. Both of her shots were goals, and helped lead to a dominant 7-0 victory.
