TAMPA, Fla. – The Sun Conference announces the players of the week for baseball, women's flag football, men's and women's golf, women's lacrosse, men's and women's outdoor track & field, men's and women's tennis, and softball for the week of April 6, 2026.

Baseball Players of the Week

Keegan Martin, Webber International
Senior | Newmarket, Ontario | Infielder
Notes: Martin had eight hits for the Warriors against the Lions, getting a hit in every game of the Warriors' sweep over FMU. He drew another four walks, putting his total to 41 on the year, good for second in the NAIA, and scored four times.
Pitcher of the Week
Austin Dobbins, Webber International
Junior | Zephyhills, Fla. | Right-Handed Pitcher
Notes: Dobbins pitched 4.0 innings of relief for the Warriors in Game 3 against the Lions. He helped to right the ship for Webber, striking out seven Lions while only giving up one run, helping the Warriors mount their comeback to win Game 3 and ultimately sweep the Lions.

Notes: Riley Andrews hit .400 in a 3 game sweep over #15 St. Thomas. She homered twice in the 8-4 win in game two and drove in both runs in the 2-1 victory in game 3.

Notes: Fia Zelenka lowered her season ERA to 0.49 this week. Pitching the opener against Warner, going the full seven, and striking out nine in her seventh complete game shutout of the season. She only walked one, and advanced her own personal record to 13-2.

Notes: Geiger led all players in caused turnovers (4) and ground balls (6) as the Bees earned a 25-2 win over Warner University. This season, the Sophomore currently leads the team in ground balls (20) and caused turnovers (19).
Offensive Player of the Week
Jia Schweigert, Keiser
Sophomore | West Babylon, N.Y. | Attacker
Notes: Schweigert totaled nine points on seven goals and two assists across the week, guiding the Seahawks to wins over No. 7 Indiana Tech and No. 5 Life. She opened with a three-point effort (two goals, one assist) in an 18-13 victory over the seventh-ranked Warriors. She followed with a standout performance in the conference opener against fifth-ranked Life, erupting for six points on four goals and two assists. Schweigert was highly efficient, shooting 80% from the field and placing 80% of her shots on goal.

Notes: For the second straight week Antonio has finished as the top individual for a premier men's golf tournament. Currently ranked #1 nationally, Antonio put together a -4 performance in round one and followed it up by shooting even across the next two rounds to cement another dominant performance!

Notes: Sophomore Sophia Sindersberger placed tied for sixth in during last week's Lynn Invitational held at the Boca Woods Country Club in Boca Raton, Florida. The second-year Seahawks recorded her fifth top-10 finish in a field of 74 golfers (69 of which were from NCAA Division II programs). She was even-par on Par 5s while registering a team-high 35 par putts. She also had seven birdies. On the year, Sindersberger has recorded an adjusted stroke average of72.7 and is ranked No. 4 in the nation (clippd).

Notes: O’Mariah Gordon delivered a historic defensive performance, recording five flag pulls, seven interceptions, and one pass breakup on the week. Gordon set a new school single-game record with five interceptions, showcasing elite instincts and ball-hawking ability in coverage. Her playmaking presence consistently disrupted opposing offenses, generating turnovers and shifting momentum in key moments. Gordon’s efforts were instrumental as the Royals continued their remarkable 2026 campaign, extending their undefeated run to 16 consecutive wins.

Notes: Kathryn Hutchinson delivered an elite performance, leading the Royals to another undefeated week while extending their historic run to 16 consecutive wins. Hutchinson completed 63-of-79 passes (79.7%) for 614 yards and 15 touchdowns, showcasing exceptional accuracy and efficiency.

Notes: Alam turned in a standout performance against top-tier competition, helping lead his team to a 4-1 road victory over Division II No. 4 Saint Leo. Competing at the No. 2 singles position, Alam earned a dominant straight-set win over No. 17 Dylan Andrianaly, 6-2, 6-1. In doubles action, Alam partnered with Heber Santos at the No. 3 position to secure a decisive 6-2 victory over the tandem of Andrianaly and Filippo Caporali.
Women's Tennis Player of the Week
Alexandra Melnikova, Keiser
Senior | Prague, Czech Republic
Notes: Melnikova put together an outstanding week at the No. 2 singles and No. 3 doubles positions, leading her team to a pair of road victories over nationally ranked competition. Against Division II No. 1 Barry, Melnikova delivered a clutch three-set singles win over Louane Lutringer, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1, helping secure a 4-2 team victory. She followed that performance with a dominant showing versus No. 47 Saint Leo, cruising to a straight-set win over No. 57-ranked Bernier, 6-1, 6-0, in a 4-0 sweep. In doubles play, Melnikova bounced back after a narrow 4-6 loss against Barry by teaming with Lena Couto for a strong 6-4 win against Saint Leo.

Notes: Laing showed out again, this time at the Embry Riddle Classic. He was the top NAIA finisher in the 110m Hurdles, racing against primarily NCAA DI competition. He then turned around and hit his first NAIA 'A' Standard of the outdoor season, running a blistering 52.39 which is fourth in school history, third in the NAIA, and top of the Sun Conference.

Notes: Lucky Baldwin turned another strong outing. Competing against mainly NCAA DI competition, and hitting a personal best in the Hammer Throw. And turned in a Top 10 finish.
Women's Track Athlete of the Week

Freshman | Lagos, Nigeria
Notes: Blessing Ogundiran delivered a historic performance in the 100m and 200m preliminary rounds, etching her name into multiple record books with a blazing time of 11.21 seconds(100m) and 23.59 (200m). The freshman sensation shattered the previous records at the Warner program level, while also setting new all-time marks in both the NCCAA and NAIA—an extraordinary achievement on one of the sport’s biggest stages.

Notes: Emma Terry showed up in a big way at the Embry Riddle Classic. Placing in the Top 10 in three events, and 11th in the discus. Her most notable finish, was her record setting Javelin Throw. Breaking the Southeastern record for the second straight week, and recording the top mark in the Sun Conference.
