Sun Conference Weekly Awards for Week Two Announced

TAMPA, Fla. – The Sun Conference announces the players of the week for men's soccer, women's soccer, and volleyball for the week of August 24, 2026. These are the first men's and women's soccer awards of the 2026 season.

All seven awards are based on performances from August 17 – August 23.

Noah Murray-Hawkins, Southeastern

Graduate Student | Northampton, England | Goalkeeper

Notes: Murray-Hawkins picked up a well earned clean sheet in the win over Eckerd. The Northampton, England native tallied five saves, including picking a free kick out of the upper 90 of the goal to keep the game scoreless in the half. He was heroic again with 15 minutes remaining when he was the last man between the attacker and a 1-1 score. He blocked the shot and kept SEU in the lead. The veteran keeper picked up an assist as well by launching a punt over the Triton’s backline that found Koren Klein who made it a 2-0 content with ten minutes remaining.

Sophomore | Braselton, Ga. | Forward

Notes: Davenport recorded his 1st career hat trick in his 1st Varsity appearance for the Royals en route to a 3-1 win over Brewton-Parker. Davenport recorded 7 total shots with 5 goal for a .714 sog% and scored two of his 3 goals on contested headers. The sophomore was also responsible for half of the Royals total 14 shots and more than half of the Royals 9 shots on goal.

Notes: Only two players put in a full 90 minute display on Saturday and Ida Åkerlind was one of them in her debut. She was all over the pitch and helped the Seahawks to a 1-0 start to the year.

Naomi Woerner, New College of Florida

Senior | Augsburg, Germany | Forward

Notes: In a historic victory, senior Naomi Woerner led the charge for the Mighty Banyans by completing an opening-day hat trick, scoring on 3-of-4 of 4 shots on net and seven overall shots in a 16-0 victory over Florida Poly. She set a single-game program record in goals scored and also became the program's all-time leader in goals scored with her third goal of the contest early in the second half.

Wiktoria Telecka, New College of Florida

Senior | Warsaw, Poland | Outside Hitter

Notes: NCF's senior captain Telecka had another monster weekend in NCF's 4-0 trip to the La Tribu Invitational. She averaged 4.56 kills per set, hit .270, and logged eight service aces over the weekend to lead the way for the Mighty Banyans. She posted double-digit kills in all four contests, including 23 in a victory over Reinhardt and 21 in a win over Johnson. She hit .381 in the victory over Johnson and .355 in a sweep of Point. In total, she posted 83.5 points and 73 kills on the weekend, both leading the team.

Senior | Morovis, Puerto Rico | Libero

Notes: Was named to the La Tribu All-Tournament Team after averaging 5.53 digs/set on the weekend. Aponte led her team to a 3-1 record with wins over Talladega (Ala.), Johnson (Tenn.), and William Carey. She also added 13 assists and eight services aces.


Setter of the Week

Addison Phillippe, New College of Florida

Sophomore | Alexandria, Ind. | Setter

Notes: Phillippe's outstanding start to the season continued at the La Tribu Invitational as she averaged 11 assists per set in four Mighty Banyan victory's. She logged 176 assists over the weekend, with a weekend-high 51 in a victory over Reinhardt, while adding 46 vs. William Carey, 43 vs. Johnson and 36 vs. Point.
