Sun Conference Volleyball Players of the Week Announced – Week Nine

MIAMI, Fla. (November 2, 2020)Abbie Seward (Keiser), Victoria Fernandez (St. Thomas), and Lily Witkoski (Ave Maria) have been named the Sun Conference Volleyball Players of the Week for the week ending Nov. 1.
 
Seward (Attacker of the Week), Fernandez (Defender of the Week), and Witkoski (Setter of the Week) were recognized for their accomplishments on the court.

Abbie Seward – Keiser – SR – OH – Bloomington, Illinois
Seward had match-high kill totals in all three outings for Keiser on the week. Her 43 kills came with along with just four errors, as she posted an efficient .453 attack percentage. Seward had her fifth double-double of the season against Life, helping the Seahawks to their best start in program history. In the Sun Conference matchup with Coastal Georgia, Seward notched 14 kills to just one error to lift KU to victory on Senior Day.
 
This is Seward’s fourth TSC weekly award of the season and the 14th of her career.

Victoria Fernandez – St. Thomas – FR – L – Orlando, Florida
Victoria Fernandez, a freshman libero from Orlando, totaled 30-digs on the week, while adding a service ace.
 
This is Fernandez’s first TSC weekly award of the season and the first of her career.





 

9068Sun Conference Volleyball Setter of the Week
Lily Witkoski – Ave Maria – SO – S – Rochester, New York
Ave Maria's attack was guided by Witkoski yet again, as the sophomore logged a double-double with 47 assists and ten digs in a four-set victory over St. Thomas. The setter also added five kills and three total blocks in a complete effort.
 
This Witkoski’s fourth TSC weekly award of the season and the fourth of her career.
