Keiser's Kris Swogger Named 2024-25 Sun Conference Athletic Director of the Year

TAMPA, Fla. — Keiser University Director of Athletics Kris Swogger is named the 2024-25 Sun Conference Athletic Director of the Year, as voted by his peers across the league. This marks his third time receiving the honor, having previously earned it in 2022-23 and 2016-17.
 
Under Swogger’s leadership this year, The Sun Conference Commissioner’s Cup returned to West Palm Beach, as Keiser claimed the title for the fifth time in program history behind a league-best nine regular season championships. The Seahawks earned conference titles in football, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s basketball, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s tennis, and women’s lacrosse.
 
Although not factored into the Commissioner’s Cup standings, Keiser also swept the conference titles in men’s and women’s swimming & diving.
 
On the national stage, the Seahawks captured red banners in men’s and women’s swimming & diving, men’s tennis, and men’s lacrosse—contributing to a runner-up finish in the 2024-25 NAIA Learfield Directors’ Cup standings. Keiser also earned postseason points in football (national runners-up), women’s soccer (national runners-up), men’s soccer, men’s basketball, men’s indoor track & field, men’s wrestling, women’s golf (national runners-up), men’s golf, and women’s tennis (national runners-up).
 
In total, the Seahawks collected 221 All-Conference honors and 143 Academic All-Conference selections.

Beyond Keiser’s departmental success, Swogger currently serves on The Sun Conference Council of Athletic Directors Executive Committee and represents the league on the NAIA National Administrative Council, where he is a member of the Championship Competition Committee.

Swogger now advances to the national ballot for the NAIA Athletic Director of the Year Award which will be announced on September 15th.
