2025 Sun Conference Women's Soccer Players to Watch

TAMPA, Fla. – Listed below are the Sun Conference Women’s Soccer Players to Watch for the 2025 season as submitted by each program.

The season commences on Thursday, August 21st with conference play to begin on Friday, September 19. The Sun Conference Tournament will start with quarterfinal matchups on Wednesday, November 5.

Emma Schweitzer

Junior | Lutz, Fla. | Goalkeeper

Notes: Schweitzer is coming off another impressive season in goal for the Gyrenes. She tied the school record for shutouts in a year with five and ranked fourth in school history with 1.32 goals against average. She earned seven wins and finished the season with 71 saves. She enters her junior season with the second-most career shutouts in AMU history (9) and is just three more away from taking the record for herself.

Notes: According to Coach Lue Young, Davia is an exciting attacker that is quick, creative, and clinical in the final third. Davia has blistering pace with great ball control, allowing her to outmaneuver defenders and create goalscoring opportunities.

Lauren Riley

Senior | Staffordshire, England | Forward

Notes: Lauren Riley returns to Keiser for her senior season after securing NAIA First Team All-America honors and helping the Seahawks to a NAIA National Championship bid last season. Riley led the Seahawks with 16 goals last season which was the most by a Seahawk since 2019. She also finished second on the team with nine assists and had six game-winning goals which ranked 10th in the NAIA.

Notes: In 2024 played in 4 games. Scored 1 goal on just three shot attempts and two shots on goal.

Senior | Lund, Sweden | Midfielder

Notes: Ida is a captain this year and is coming off a championship season. She earned NAIA All-American status and will be a key factor on our team and in our midfield.

Madelyn Davidson

Senior | Carnation, Wash. | Midfielder

Notes: Davidson shined for the Fire in her junior season. She played in 15 out of 18 games and started in 14. She notched a team high nine goals and three assists, finishing the season with five multi-point performances. She notched four goals for the Fire in one week that featured 2-1 wins over New College of Florida and RV St. Thomas earning for herself Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Her goal against Florida Memorial on Senior Day, awarded the Fire with home field advantage for the Sun Conference Quarterfinals. Her excellence on the pitch earned her Second-Team All-Sun Conference, and a her play in the conference tournament earned her a spot on the Sun Conference All-Tournament Team. She was also outstanding academically, earning Sun Conference All-Academic, CSC Academic All-District, and NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete.

Clarissa Chew

Sophomore | Palm Bay, Fla. | Forward

Notes: Clarissa Chew, a native of Palm Bay, Florida, proved to be a difference-maker in her debut season with the Royals. She appeared in 12 matches with nine starts, recording 621 minutes of play. Chew finished the year with four goals, including a game-winner, while posting a .583 shots-on-goal percentage. With her speed, scoring ability, and competitive edge, Chew is primed to play a key role in driving Warner’s offensive attack throughout the 2025 campaign.

Notes: Myers has quickly established herself as a top player for the Warriors after transferring in. Her abilities in the midfield will be on full display this season.
