Sun Conference Football Game of the Week: Florida Memorial Hosts Cumberland (Tenn.)

TAMPA, Fla. – The Sun Conference is excited to announce its fourth Football Game of the Week of the 2025 season. The Florida Memorial University Lions will host the Cumberland (Tenn.) University Phoenix on Saturday, September 27th in a Sun Conference/Mid-South showdown.

As previously announced, this matchup is part of the scheduling alliance between The Sun Conference and the Mid-South Conference, and serves as the second and final cross-conference meeting in 2025 for both FMU and CU.

Viewed as a must-watch non-conference matchup, the league will provide additional promotion and sideline coverage throughout the day. Fans can follow along on the league’s social media accounts by clicking the icons below.

Florida Memorial Notes

  • Florida Memorial is 0-2 on the season, opening with a 49-35 road loss to Reinhardt, before a 17-12 road loss to Clark Atlanta.
