This Week's Sun Conference Basketball Honors

TAMPA, Fla. – The Sun Conference announces the players of the week for men's and women's basketball for the week of January 12, 2026.

Notes: Cameron Baldwin continues to be a defensive force for the Seahawks, averaging 5.5 rebounds per game this week. Baldwin is excelling at his role of rim protector, recording six blocks in the 84-62 win over (rv) Southeastern. Keiser is back up to third in the NAIA in blocks per game, averaging six per contest. Baldwin himself is also up to third in the NAIA at 2.8 blocks per game.

Junior | Apopka, Fla. | Forward

Notes: Camerin James was dominant this week, averaging 25.5 points per game while leading Keiser to a pair of wins. He shot 62.5 percent from the field, including a pair of threes against Southeastern and a 10-of-14 outing from the field at Webber. Beyond scoring, he contributed across the stat sheet with 4.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. As a team, the Seahawks have climbed to fourth in the NAIA in shooting percentage, average 51.6% from the field. James now leads the conference in scoring at 23.4 points per game in Sun Conference action while sitting at seventh in rebounding.

Notes: Jasmyn Hale delivered a highly efficient and impactful performance in two conference victories, providing scoring, rebounding, and elite defensive pressure off the bench. Averaging 11.5 points per game in 32.0 minutes, Hale shot 50.0% from the field, 40.0% from three-point range, and 75.0% from the free-throw line, demonstrating consistent offensive production. Hale was a force on the glass, averaging 9.0 rebounds per game, including 2.0 offensive rebounds, helping extend possessions and control tempo. Her defensive presence was especially notable, as she averaged 4.5 steals per game, recording 9 total steals across wins over Southeastern and Webber International.

Mya Herman, Southeastern

Junior | Canandaigua, N.Y. | Guard

Notes: Mya Herman led the Fire offense in both games this week. Despite the shortcoming at Keiser, she put up 15, and served two assists. In the Saturday blowout of New College of Florida, she eclipsed 1,000 career points, and dropped 23 on 56.3 percent shooting, 5-7 from the three point line. Additionally, grabbing three offensive rebounds.
