TAMPA, Fla. – The Sun Conference announces the players of the week for men's and women's basketball for the week of January 5, 2026.

Men's Basketball Players of the Week
Defensive Player of the Week
Cameron Baldwin, Keiser
Junior | Acworth, Ga. | Forward
Notes: Cameron Baldwin anchored the defense with his presence in the paint, recording six blocks over two games. Against New College, he was dominant on the defensive end, swatting away four shots in just 18 minutes. Baldwin also controlled the glass, averaging 5.5 rebounds per game overall. The Seahawks rank third in the NAIA in blocks this season and Baldwin is leading the charge, ranking fourth in the NAIA with 36 on the year.
Offensive Player of the Week
Mylo Santos, Southeastern
Senior | Washington Heights, N.Y. | Point Guard
Notes: Mylo Santos is a major issue, catching his strides and posting his fifth and sixth 20+ point performances of the season in two commanding wins. At Thomas, Santos dropped 23 on 55.6 percent shooting (10-18), adding five assits and four offensive boards. Two days later, he turned in 24 points on 62.5 percent shooting (10-16) with one more o-board and two more assists. On the week, he notched 47 total points (20-34 | 58.8 percent), seven rebounds (five offensive), seven assists, and created offense with seven steals.

Ashley Chilson, Ave Maria
Sophomore | Eleva, Wisc. | Forward
Notes: Ashley Chilson led the team in both steals and rebounds. She recorded her fifth double-double of the season, recording 10 rebounds and 14 points. She also swiped the ball 3 times as the Gyrenes beat the Florida Memorial Lions 61-57.
Offensive Player of the Week
Aly Avrach, Keiser
Senior | Boca Raton, Fla. | Guard
Notes: Over the two-game stretch, Aly Avrach averaged 19.5 points per game while shooting 50.0 percent from the field and from three-point range. Keiser dominated New College of Florida with a historic performance. Avrach set a new Keiser single-game record by making nine three-pointers, finishing with a game-high 28 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the field and 9-of-13 from beyond the arc in just 27 minutes. Her offensive performance helped fuel a complete team effort, as Keiser also set a program record for fewest points allowed in a game, holding New College of Florida to 27 points.
