TAMPA, Fla. – The 2026 All-Sun Conference Women's Golf Specialty Award winners were announced Tuesday afternoon following a vote of the league’s head coaches.
Leading the honorees, SCAD Savannah’s Yunyi Luo was named Golfer of the Year. Luo is currently ranked No. 2 in the Clippd rankings and led the league with a 71.8 stroke average, finishing under par for the season. She recorded a low round of 67 at the Invite at Innisbrook and earned medalist honors at the 2026 Sun Conference Championship, finishing at -2 and winning the event by six strokes. Across 25 rounds and nine events, she totaled nine top-10 finishes, including seven top-three showings, and captured four individual titles.
Keiser’s Herry Ji earned Freshman of the Year honors. Ji tied for third in the league with a 73.1 stroke average this season. Across 23 rounds and eight events, she recorded six top-10 finishes, including three top-three showings, and posted a low round of 69 at the Keiser Flagler Fall Slam. Ji is currently ranked No. 8 nationally in the Clippd rankings.
CCGA’s Madelyn Taylor was recognized as the Champion of Character, earning the honor for the second consecutive season. Taylor has been actively involved in her community, volunteering at summer junior golf camps, teaching vacation bible school, and assisting with the Special Olympics in her hometown. She also serves as Vice President of FCA at Coastal Georgia and hosts a weekly team bible study. On campus, she contributes to move-in day efforts and has taken on leadership roles within the program since her freshman year. According to head coach Nicole Johns, “Madelyn is a respectful person to her coach, teammates, and competitors, and has been a team leader since her freshman year.”
SCAD Savannah’s Chris Kamys was selected as Coach of the Year. SCAD currently sits No. 5 in both the NAIA Top 25 and Clippd rankings. Kamys led the Bees to the 2026 Sun Conference Championship, winning the event with a team score of +33. He also coached Yunyi Luo (No. 2), Jiahui Shan, and Jiayin Wang to All-Conference honors this season. Across eight events, the Bees recorded six top-three finishes, including two team titles, while posting a 295.8 scoring average.
