SAVANNAH, Ga. – SCAD Head Cross Country/Track & Field Coach Andy Knapp is excited to announce the hiring of Katy Chapman as the new Assistant Coach.
"We are very excited to have Katy join our program," states Head Coach Knapp. "She will be a great asset in helping us develop and grow into a nationally competitive program."
Katy comes to SCAD after completing her Bachelor of Science, Food and Nutrition and Master of Science, Exercise and Sports Science degrees at NCAA DI Eastern Kentucky University. While there, Katy was Team Captain for three years and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
As a member of the Academy of Dietetics and the Bluegrass Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics from 2021-23, Katy completed 20-plus hours of clinical dietetic shadowing.
When asked about joining SCAD, Katy said, "I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join the SCAD athletics staff. I am excited to get to work and to contribute to the continued success of the cross country and track & field programs."
