2024 Sun Conference Women's Soccer Players to Watch

TAMPA, Fla. – Listed below are the Sun Conference Women's Soccer Players to Watch for the 2024 season.

The conference season commences on Saturday, September 14th. The Sun Conference Tournament will start with quarterfinal matchups on Thursday, November 7.

Ave Maria

Senior | Venice, Fla. | Midfielder

- Second team All-Sun Conference
- Led team with 12 point and was tied for the team lead with four goals
- Is Ave Maria's all-time leader in assists
- Is second in shots (147), third in points (46), and fourth in goals (17) all0-time in school history
- Played in 17 of the team's 18 games last season

Florida Memorial

Bartley led the Lions in points last season (two goals, two assists) and is gearing up for a big sophomore season by creating more goal-scoring opportunities for FMU.




Keiser

After securing all-conference honors in her first year with the Seahawks, Nilsson will be a key returner for Keiser in 2024. Nilsson scored six goals and added three assists in her first season including a stretch of Sun Conference games where she tallied a goal in four stretch fixtures.

Sydney Chura
Senior | Milford, Mich. | Forward

Sydney Chura was named to the 2023 NAIA All-American Third-Team as well as the United Soccer Coaches Second-Team and led the Bees in goals (16), shots on goal (40), and points (40). Chura was named the Sun Conference Player of the Year, the Sun Conference First Team, the Sun Conference All-Tournament Team, the Sun Conference All-Academic Team, and a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete. A stellar season put Chura into the SCAD record books for both season and career stats. For the season, the junior tied for fourth in points (40), fifth in shots (78), tied for fifth in goals (16), and tied for eighth in points per game (1.90). Chura broke into seven career records: second in points per game (2.23), second in goals (47), second in shots (235), third in goals per game (0.90), third in assists per game (0.42), third in shots per game (4.52), and fourth in assists (22). Coming into her senior year with a chance to break multiple SCAD records.

Southeastern

Davidson started all 19 games of 2023, recording 11 goals, eight multipoint appearances and one assist. Her prowess earned her First-Team All-Sun Conference.




St. Thomas

Graduate Student | Miami Springs, Fla. | Foward

The 2023 First Team All-Conference honoree finished third in the league last season with 24 points off nine goals and eight assists which both ranked fourth... Two of her goals were game-winners.




Warner

Bellomo started all 18 games as a freshman last year for the Royals and started in 15 of them. She is returning for her sophomore season as a strong presence in the midfield, aiming to be an offensive threat.

Olufsen joins the Warriors as a Freshman Center Attack Midfielder. The Warriors expect Olufsen to help facilitate their offense in the midfield and create more chances for the forwards.
